We’ve all been there; in that mental or emotional place where you feel like throwing up your hands and calling it quits. I’ve been there too.
When you’re trapped in your own head, the anxiety is more than you can stand, and every ounce of you is screaming “what the hell am I doing wrong??” Don’t stress. Let’s think this through;
Life doesn’t usually go the way we plan it. Let’s put that out there first. I’m not trying to make you feel worse, I just think that we have to deal in reality. And the reality is, that sometimes life just sucks. Plain and simple.
That said, it only sucks if that’s how you interpret it. The old saying goes “Life is what you make it”. So true 🙂
Take a deep breath. Get outside and go for a walk. Inhale the fresh air and let it fuel your brain.
You have no money? Pfff! Money schmoney!
Got no job? Bah!
Not having money should give you the push you need to get creative in your efforts to MAKE money! This is the 21st century! GET CREATIVE!! And I mean RIGHT OUTSIDE THE BOX creative!
Can’t find a job? Make one!
What can you do that someone would be willing to pay for? Get to doing it!
Family not getting along? Easy answer; put some distance between you! Nothing clears your head like silence.
Like I said, silence works.
Find a quiet space, and sit comfortably. You don’t have to completely clear your mind (I find that’s impossible to do), just try not to think about the things that stress you. This isn’t the time to think about that nonsense. Don’t think that you need to do it for a long time. A few minutes should be sufficient. When you feel like you’re done, be done 🙂
Think about what you have that’s good, and be thankful.
Regardless of how crappy you feel today, there’s something in your life that’s good. Be thankful for that. I find that making a mental list of the things I’m thankful for, completely changes my state of mind for the better.
“Could be better, could be worse.”
Sure! Things could be better! But they could always be worse too. Be thankful that they’re not worse 😉
