How to Use Social Media to Get CRAZY Blog Traffic

So…you’ve written a fantastic blog post, and you want the whole world to see it. And they should! But how do you go about getting your masterpiece noticed?

There are many things that you can do in order to make that post, and every other post you write, grab some serious ongoing traction.

Social media is key.

There are so many moving parts to the whole social media for business and blogging conversation, it can make your head spin, but social media tools are invaluable to the life and success of your blog.

I’m a self-confessed nerd; I love technology and every (good) thing that it’s capable of, including what it can do for my blog. If you’re running an online business (that naturally has a blog), social media is where your customers are, therefore, that’s where you need to be.

But how do you go about using these awesome tools to grab those readers, and essentially, new customers to your blog or website?

Here’s how I implement social media with my blog(s);

Twitter – Twitter is an effective tool for spreading information. If you don’t already have a twitter account, or you do, but have no real idea how to use it effectively, you are (as they say) leaving virtual money on the table.

Facebook – Facebook isn’t just for staying in touch with friends and family. It’s also a fabulous way to interact with others in your field, and spread the word about your blog/business far and wide. I use Facebook to distribute my blog posts on a very regular basis.

Pinterest – Pinterest is what I like to call the “sneak attack” of blog traffic. Did you know that Pinterest isn’t actually a ‘social media’ vehicle like Twitter and Facebook, but actually a search engine? Pinterest is actually responsible for huge surges in blog traffic, for bloggers in just about every niche, especially in the past year or so.

Instagram – Yes…there are ways to promote your blog posts on Instagram as well, that drive sick traffic, you just have to be strategic in how you go about it.

I’ve created a printable worksheet  that’s a bit more detailed, to help you drive traffic to your blog or business, using social media. Download it, print it, implement the 5 simple steps, and watch your traffic grow!
